The Foundation for Filipina Women’s Network (FWN) is the organization for the Most Influential Filipina Women Awardees. They are leaders in the public and private sectors from 34 countries selected yearly from a worldwide search for Filipina women with a track record of accomplishments with a lasting global imprint through their work in their professional fields, industry sectors, and local communities. They are nominated by their peers and selected by the award selection team of awardees from previous years.

From Marily Mondejar, FWN Founder:

I and a group of Filipina women leaders who served as the Steering Committe for two years prior was founded in 2001 for two reasons:

1)    In our corporate world then, we did not find women in executive positions who looked like us and of Asian heritage; and

2)   After a 2001 internet search for "Filipina," the results returned millions of hits as "mail-order brides, sluts, exotic, sexy, and submissive wives." FWN launched the Shape the Filipina Image Campaign to highlight Filipina women's leadership roles and economic contributions in the public and private sectors.

FWN is committed to leveraging its pool of Most Influential Filipina Women Awardees to commit to the following initiatives:

1)   “Pay forward” by developing a short-term project that will benefit women in their respective geographic locations where they live, raise their children, and build a career. Here are the countries where these projects are ongoing. Read about their projects in the Global Pitch Forum.

2)    FemtorMatch: Femtor (female mentors) a young Filipina to help develop our next generation leaders

3)    Write their leadership journeys and get published in the FWN DISRUPT Leadership Book Series. FWN now has four books – 140 authors (35 in each book) from 16 countries.

FWN seeks to increase the influence of Filipina women as leaders and policymakers on economic, social justice, and women’s rights in the private and public sectors. FWN campaigns to increase the odds that more Filipina women advance to the C-suite influential positions in companies worldwide.

With members in 34 countries, FWN provides INFLUENCE. KNOWLEDGE. ACCESS.

FWN convenes programs and activities that enhance public perceptions of Filipina women's capacities to lead, build the Filipina women community's pipeline of qualified leaders, and help Filipina women achieve previously unimaginable levels of performance in the public and private sectors, breaking barriers that make it difficult or impossible to succeed.

FWN achieves its goals through public education forums, community, and corporate outreach, research on Filipina women’s issues, leadership and skill-building/career development programs at the annual Filipina Summit, and influencing popular culture.

FWN’s current membership represents Filipina women from corporations, government, and nonprofit sectors including organizations that support FWN’s mission. Countries represented by FWN Members:

Why Our Meetings Are Different

FWN provides Filipina women with opportunities to share practical career and business experiences. This focus on actual career and business experiences, rather than theory, from practitioners, corporate managers, and leaders, along with peer networking, are the distinguishing features of FWN meetings.

The annual Filipina Leadership Global Summit brings together the top and most influential Filipina women business owners and professionals from around the globe to create a networking pipeline thru reciprocal relationships. The speakers chosen for the summit are at the top of their game sharing their experiences and insights on how they became successful, how they turned their success into significance, and what it means to be relevant to society as an influential Filipina woman in today’s business world. • Vagina Warriors

Vagina Warriors are the women and men who have experienced violence personally or witnessed violence within their own families or communities. Instead of taking a gun to seek revenge or becoming an abuser, they have dedicated themselves to ending violence against Filipina women and girls through effective, grassroots means. Vagina Warriors are selected to coincide with the Filipinas Against Violence annual campaign.
