The Spotlight Awards Gala is an initiative of How Women Give, a Bay Area Women's Philanthropy Network. The Spotlight Awards were created to honor those courageous leaders reshaping the landscape for women and girls. This event includes a film screening in San Francisco on Thursday, February 1st, 2018 honoring:

Senator Kamala Harris - Setting the Scene Pacesetter Award
Dolores Huerta - Si Se Puede Award
Jessica Congdon - Changing the Narrative Award

How Women Give invests first and commits to organizations working on the front lines of equity issues for women and girls in the Bay Area. How Women Give believes that women leading in communities of color are the most highly leveraged actors in equity today. Together as a network of women, we support marginalized issues, leaders and communities with unrestricted operating grants.

During the evening’s program, we will meet leaders who exemplify the courage and leadership of Senator Kamala Harris and Dolores Huerta. Our giving circle bridges the gap between today’s activists with corporate and philanthropic leaders positioned to influence change in our marginalized communities.
