"In 2011, Tracey Young's company PlanGrid was accepted into the prestigious start-up incubator Y Combinator, and with Young as CEO, it has since been used on 400,000 projects in 195 countries. Its benefits—logistical and economic—are so apparent that one project manager recently told Young that learning about it felt like being taught to use fire for the first time. Did you know women only make up 6.3% of active apprentices in the trades nationwide? 

The Tradeswomen, Inc. at Rising Sun's Pre-Apprenticeship Training Center celebrated women in apprenticeship to increase the number of women in the trades.

Speakers included: Department of Labor, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Equal Rights Advocates, Rising Sun Pre-Apprenticeship Training Center, and Tradeswomen, Inc. held last November 6th at the Rising Sun Pre-Apprenticeship Training Center - 2998 San Pablo Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94702
