Filipino cuisine a hit in London! Romulo Café Wins Time Out London's "Most Loved Restaurant in Kensington" Award

Owned and operated by former senior banker Rowena Romulo and co-Director Chris Joseph, Romulo Café garnered the most votes among nine short-listed restaurants in Kensington, a district of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea at TimeOut Love London 2016 Awards. Romulo Café triumphs in good company. Among the other restaurant winners were Coya for Mayfair; Dishoom for Covent Garden and The Strand, and The Ivy Chelsea Garden for Chelsea. Congrats, Aimee Alado (Global FWN100™ ’15) for executive producing the much heralded Appellation of Origin: The Philippines (AOoP) in London, U.K. which raised visibility for the Philippine Brand in the U.K. and benefiting four Philippine charities. The event made history in the U.K. that showcased a grand gala celebration of Filipino creativity, fashion and talent. AOoP highlighted the rich Filipino tradition of textiles, weaving and embroidery through an exciting fashion show with unique designs by Filipino designers Joseph Aloysius Montelibano and Jaki Peñalosa.
